An amoeba feeds by engulfing its prey and then digesting it to get the proper nutrients.
Annelida worms are filter feeders. they set up a trap and then eat their prey.
Insects have Mandibles which are used to grind/chew food. They also have a tube like mouth and a spongelike mouth that sucks in the food
Amphibians such as frogs have long, sticky tongues to catch the flies in order to obtain proper nutrients.
Since mammals are Endotherms, their body heat is produced internally which means that they need more food in order to keep homeostasis. Herbivores have a grass/ plant diet to give them nutrients. Ex:Giraffes. Carnivores eat strictly meat to get nutrition. Ex: Lions. Omnivores eat both plants and animals. Ex: Humans
Non-vascular plants depend on osmosis and diffusion in order to get nutrients. Since Gymnosperms and Angiosperms are plants with seeds, they have Xylem and Phloem. Xylem absorbs water and carries them to the leaves whereas Phloem disperse food from the stem to all the organs.
